About: Prophet Exchange is a peer-to-peer sports betting exchange where users can set prices for others to bet on, or place bets on the price already available. Sportsbooks have fixed odds, high margins, and severely limit / remove bettors, all problems Prophet solves with its peer-to-peer backend technology. Prophet is an intermediary and never profits off their users’ losses – Prophet only collects commission on their wins.

As API Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the VP of Operations in ensuring a smooth user experience for all API customers. This includes liaising directly with our market makers leveraging our API. You will assist with onboarding these customers as well assisting with any ongoing issues as it relates to the API. You will also be involved in the future development of the trading API, making sure our customers have a voice in the future of the product. In this role, you will also oversee the end-to-end implementation and development of payments systems, including testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and process enhancements.

The Role:

  • Communicate directly with our market maker customers, delivering an impeccable customer experience to each customer.
  • Assist in the sourcing of new market makers, communicating the technical implementation requirements for automated trading on the platform.
  • Work with the product and engineering teams on developing the roadmap for the API to improve the experience for our customers.
  • Working every day with the VP of Operations to ensure that customers who utilize the API are receiving a first class experience.
  • In charge of ensuring any issues related to the API are properly escalated and resolved.
  • Assisting in technical discussions with potential market making customers.
  • Support customers to resolve inquiries via email in a timely and professional manner and providing superior service
  • Remediating payment with market making and API customers on a weekly/monthly basis.


  • Preferably 3+ years’ experience working in an online operations environment with a track record of success.
  • Be a data-driven and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the betting industry.
  • Proven experience as a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently as part of a fast-growing team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and G-Suite (G-Sheets).

  2. Medical Information: (a) to the extent necessary to comply with the Company’s legal obligations, such as to accommodate disabilities; (b) to conduct a direct threat analysis in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and state law; (c) for workers’ compensation purposes; (d) for occupational health surveillance; (e) for occupational health and safety compliance and record-keeping; (f) to conduct fitness for duty examinations; (g) to administer leaves of absence and sick time; and (h) to respond to an employee’s medical emergency. Note: This Notice does not cover medical information governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act or the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act.

Background Screening Information

  1. Personal Information Collected: The Company collected background screening information. Note: This Notice does not cover background screening governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which is excluded from the California Consumer Privacy Act.
  2. Purposes of Use: The Company screens employees for risks to the Company, to meet the contractual obligations we have to certain customers, continued suitability for the jobs and to evaluate employees for internal promotions.

Purposes Potentially Applicable to Any of the Categories of Personal Information Listed Above

The Company also may use employees’ Personal Information to facilitate administrative functions and information technology operations and for legal reasons and corporate transactions. These functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Manage and operate information technology and communication systems, risk management and insurance functions, budgeting, financial management and reporting, strategic planning;
  2. Manage litigation involving the Company, and other legal disputes and inquiries and to meet legal and regulatory requirements;
  3. In connection with a corporate transaction, sale, or assignment of assets, merger divestiture, or other changes of control or financial status of the Company or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates; and
