What We Are Building

We are building an easy-to-use crypto marketplace to help make mass adoption as seamless as possible for the next 900 million crypto users. Through multiple integrations and partnerships, our product provides one place to buy, earn, sell, and exchange crypto assets, decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens and protocols, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In addition to the buy, sell, exchange elements, we also provide a new kind of social-first crypto information platform that allows verified users to interact with one another in a way that will make creating and sharing better quality and higher value information easier.

The Role

The Engineering Architect will report directly to the VP of Engineering and be responsible to build and maintain a FinTech Microservices backend platform that serves our frontend application, external partners, and integrates with external services such as exchanges and payment providers.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Translate application requirements and use cases into functional requirements
  • Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle (scrum)
  • Create API documentation for FE team and external partners.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Debug and resolving technical issues

Desired experience

  • You are passionate about democratizing access to financial products and services
  • 7+ years of previous working experience in node.js and Java back-end development
  • Hands-on working experience in Docker framework
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Experience in leading technical team
  • Experience in preparing and executing the architecture and good standards implementation
  • Business-value oriented mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience developing and architecting financial systems
  • Working knowledge of crypto systems
