Duties

Collaboratively leads with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to support the organization’s business and technology goals with scoping, discovery and framing. Leads the effort of shaping the architecture and design of the product. Leverage software, algorithms, and statistical models to advance product goals. Design service-based solutions, functional architectures, and micro-service based applications. Program applications and services; integrate with existing backend services; document architectures and flows of applications and services. Support and maintain applications and services; collaborate with various platform teams to ensure best practices are followed while leveraging the Cloud infrastructure, data flow, and data persistence layers. Ensure proper security practices are implemented and adhered to in all solutions. Implement and maintain a proper continuous integration and deployment pipeline. Leading initiatives to find solutions that may need to incorporate new technologies or processes and present findings at all levels in order to drive decisions on direction and feasibility. Serves as an expert on the advertising platform and audience targeting business domains and a distinguished advocate of multiple technology stacks and shares that knowledge across the enterprise. Coaches the team and leads best practices around automation, pipelines, test-driven development and maintainability and scalability.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign educational equivalent) plus three years of experience developing applications for data collection using Java Frameworks and Big Data Technologies or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign educational equivalent) and five years of experience developing applications for data collection using Java Frameworks and Big Data Technologies.

Specific skills/other requirements:

Demonstrated expertise designing, building, and implementing:

o NIFI data flows with Kafka messaging for streaming data
o Scala/Spark / Python and various Big Data solutions
o Application Development via Java, JavaScript, GoLang;
o Elastic Search, Tableau, Single Sign-on with Active Directory
o Cloud implementations and the complexities of security, performance and cost.

Demonstrated ability to understand a business need and be able to research technologies, patterns and potential solutions and be able to present architecture and design to address the need while considering scalability, maintainability, cost.

Compensation offered for this role is $127,445.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
