Position Overview:

A Client Success Lead is a new hybrid role that will be responsible for overseeing the direct relationships of our small business shippers. This role will be a combination of operations and sales functions. In addition to managing book of business directly, they will also delegate tasks to support team of Client Success Specialists and Logistics Coordinators to execute the tasks of quoting, building booking, tracking, problem escalation and resolution for the client(s) within their team. Account retention of these infrequent shippers will be a main component of job. A Client Success Lead will also work closely with the Sr. Client Success Manager to build out the Small Business Shipper Department and processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the client experience by cultivating relationships with client(s) through constant contact and advocacy by offering solutions, solving problems, and driving business
  • Ensure client’s daily expectations are being met within allocated time constraints
  • Oversee all account management activities
  • Proactively reach out to inactive clients to ensure they stay active
  • Improve account retention and active shipper count
  • Assist in creating and improving account and department specific SOP’s
  • Monitor load and account profitability and analyze the daily operations to provide efficiency outliers
  • Assist with filing claims on behalf of the client
  • Focus on the team by appropriately delegate work, provide mentorship and guidance to new Client Success Specialists and Logistics Coordinators members
  • Seize accountability by taking ownership of team metrics and drives account growth profitability
  • Assist in training and coaching assigned team members and lead by example
  • Generate innovative ideas to remove operational obstacles and increase team efficiency
  • Develop and maintain relationships throughout the Echo organization

Required Skills:

  • 1+ years of industry experience in transportation specifically in Sales and/or Operations
  • Experience with multi-modal client base including LTL, TL, Partial, INTL, and Expedite
  • Ability to develop and provide dynamic transportation solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Thorough knowledge of Echo tech tools and platforms including Echoship, Client Pricing Tool, FreightTrak, etc.
  • Experience guiding, leading and/or training others
  • Ability to develop and follow standard operation procedures (SOP) & Key Performance indications (KPI)
  • A positive leader who takes initiative and is open to trying new ideas/processes
  • Reliable and willing to learn

Work environment/physical demands summary:

This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
