Founded in 2017, 0x Labs envisions a world in which all forms of value are tokenized on public blockchains. This “tokenized world” would be built on a global financial system more efficient, transparent, and equitable than any system that has existed in the past. 0x Labs is the architect of 0x (pronounced “zero-ex”), the most trusted and widely-used Web3 exchange infrastructure. Built upon the open-source 0x Protocol, created by 0x Labs, 0x powers the exchange of tokenized value for a massive and growing ecosystem of leading applications unlocking easy access to multi-chain liquidity and improving markets for everyone. 0x Labs products include Matcha, the search engine for tokens; 0x API, supplying multi-chain liquidity aggregation and smart order routing as a service; and 0x Protocol, the open-source, global backbone for decentralized exchange.

0x currently supports 7 major blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, Avalanche, Optimism, BNB Chain, and Celo, and we plan to continue our multi-chain expansion to other popular chains, including non-EVM ones (i.e. non-Ethereum based blockchains). YOUR ROLE AS COMMUNITY & EVENTS MANAGER AT 0X

A vibrant, positive, and engaged community is the foundation for an open-source ecosystem. The Community team at 0x looks to foster growth by encouraging and mobilizing members, contributors, and developers from across the world.

As our Community & Events Manager, you’ll strategize on and execute plans to grow, engage, and convert different segments of our user base (and our potential user base) from folks who are casually involved → to enthusiasts, DeFi users, and builders. You will seek out sponsorship and speaking engagements that are aligned with our mission and values and will expand our reach.

You’re capable of strategically overseeing a large community that operates online and offline, and creating repeatable processes and playbooks to foster its growth — from planning and scaling events, to seeking out and managing sponsorships, to rolling out educational content. You pride yourself on having a growth mindset, and you’re driven to continually improve our impact on the space.

Ultimately, you have a pulse on all members of the community who are part of the 0x ecosystem, and you’re motivated to drive this community through growth and flourishment as 0x scales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and oversee the successful design and execution of all external, community-facing events
  • Own the sponsorships funnel: identity, secure, and coordinate sponsorship opportunities that align with the 0x mission and values; support funnels for Matcha and 0x Labs sponsorships
  • Manage inbound speaker requests and ensure speakers are adequately prepared for engagements
  • Working internally with our Operations, Developer Advocacy, and Matcha teams, lead the development and execution of strategies for 0x, 0x Labs, and Matcha events: meet-ups, hackathons, and conferences (in-person, online, metaverse); organize, host, and create playbooks for events for potential hires, ecosystem developers, and enthusiasts
  • Own the execution of the annual 0xpo event
  • Create training materials that educate the larger team on how to properly represent the company, our products, and brand externally
  • Develop ideas for new events and content that engage attendees with unique programming
  • Act as a primary point of contact for members of the 0x community, answering questions, and engaging in community discussions across our social media and chat forums
  • Manage and determine the best way to utilize inbound community contribution interest
  • Attend events while acting as a support and guide for anybody representing 0x

REQUIRED

  • 3+ years of experience in a related role
  • Passionate about bringing people together — working collaboratively with people outside of your team and outside of the company is where you shine
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking ownership over decisions
  • Experience planning events and scaling events programs
  • Ability to be flexible in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to engage and build communities
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful, and motivated

PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of the Web3 space
  • Experience interacting with and leading communities at scale
  • Experience working with online and offline communities
  • Experience in building and managing event partnerships
