We are looking for a motivated Controller who is excited about leading and scaling a high-performing Accounting team at an organization making a meaningful difference in the world. They will hire, train, and retain a world-class team and implement processes and systems that scale with Aurora’s hyper-growth and set the company up for future success.

What you’ll do:

    • Plan and execute all accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
    • Lead, grow, and strengthen the Accounting team, with a dedication to recruiting, training, and mentoring
    • Build the technical infrastructure and control environment to support the company’s hyper-growth and prepare the company for an IPO and SOX compliance
    • Develop, enhance, implement, and enforce accounting policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business
    • Leverage technology to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations, and improve the employee experience
    • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional peers
    • Continually evaluate and optimize accounting processes relative to industry best practices
    • Deliver external reporting for investors and the Board of Directors

What we value:

    • Management experience hiring, inspiring, developing, and retaining a high-performing finance team.
    • Expertise in GAAP, financial statements, and SaaS accounting best practices
    • Experience in a high-growth startup, preferably at a software company
    • Proficient in evaluating, implementing, and improving Accounting tools and systems
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and levels throughout the company
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big picture strategic understanding
    • Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • CPA and experience at a Big 4 or another national accounting firm
