The Open Source Amplify Framework team is continuously innovating and expanding our mobile and web framework to enable developers to quickly build, deploy, and manage native, web, and hybrid apps.

We need to support our customers when they open feature requests, bug reports and pose questions in the many places our customers expect us to be. We are looking for Developer Support Engineers that enjoy solving problems, working with customers, and have excellent programming skills in one or more programming languages. Our Support Engineers work with AWS customers on GitHub, Stack Overflow, Discord and other developer community sites to help them build on AWS. We are the “voice of the developer” inside AWS and have work within product teams for recurring issues or feature requests.
A successful candidate will be someone with solid coding skills who is customer focused, and who can multi-task and utilize both written & verbal communication skills to help our diverse range of customers resolve their technical issues.
As a Developer Support Engineer you will be involved in the following activities on a day to day basis:
- Work within GitHub issues to reproduce issues and answer questions
- Act as customer’s advocate and represent customer needs to the product teams
- Ensure timely communication and driving technical issues towards closure.
- Raise bug reports
- Write tools/scripts to help the team
- Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the AWS software development community
- Work with leadership on process improvements and strategic initiatives

- BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Experience working remote (if virtual) in a team environment
- 3+ years of experience in core fundamentals of building front-end mobile and web applications, and delivering them at scale
- Experience working with developer as customers
- Experience programming applications backed by AWS services
- Experience building apps for iOS and/or Android
- Deep familiarity with git and GitHub
- Experience with Open Source development communities
- Experience communicating with both technical and business audiences.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $95,600 – $160,000 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
