Meta is seeking a Digital Controllership Systems Manager to join the Record-to-Report (R2R) Accounting team. The individual must be a self-starter and visionary who thinks big while being a pragmatic and innovative leader. This individual will work closely with a variety of cross-functional teams including Accounting, Enterprise Engineering, Finance Business Partners (aka FP&A), Finance Transformation and the rest of the Controllership teams. They would be responsible for managing the accounting systems used by the R2R Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with cross functional teams, including providing guidance, making decisions, building consensus, and influencing all levels of partners. They will need to recognize how to strike a balance on getting the details right while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. The candidate must be a highly driven, high energy, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels. This full-time position reports to the Director, R2R Financial Systems, Controls, and Analytics.

Digital Controllership Systems Manager Responsibilities:

  • Understand the entire R2R Accounting systems landscape, including subledgers, upstream and integrated systems
  • Drive further collaboration with cross functional Analytics teams across the CAO Org to ensure alignment while executing systems and analytics roadmap
  • Leverage data and visualizations to enable better storytelling and obtain objective feedback to identify and prioritize investments in a world-class user experience across our tools and processes
  • Lead development of analytics dashboard reporting capabilities to enable enhanced controls design
  • Defines requirements/use cases from the stakeholders and other subject matter experts (“SMEs”)
  • Build relationships with all of the enterprise engineering teams, and ensure that roadmaps reflect accounting team requirements
  • Support efforts to shape the forward looking systems roadmap for R2R Accounting, including supporting all business initiatives and launches
  • Lead and manage implementation of new systems and enhancements across all phases (design, build, test and deploy) for all of global R2R Accounting, including assessing resource needs, coordinating with our Enterprise Engineering partners, and cross functional stakeholders throughout CAO organization
  • Partner with and influence our Enterprise Engineering partners in developing a strategic roadmap for future enhancements and changes, with a goal to streamline, automate and transform the financial statement close process
  • Partner with R2R Accounting leadership and other CAO organization stakeholders to create a cross functional system vision and then lead the accounting efforts on executing that vision
  • Help drive efficiency efforts for R2R Accounting including automation and outsourcing efforts
  • Stay up-to-date on leading practices and the latest trends of technology changes in Finance & Controllership and bring in those solutions to our roadmap (e.g. RPA, SQL, R)
  • Lead special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with and influencing cross functional leaders across an organization at all levels
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and delivery options (Tableau, SQL, R, Python, ETL, Data Visualization tools)
  • Experience designing and implementing business processes and systems based on business priorities
  • Experience working and problem solving independently, to effect change, to organize workload and priorities, and complete tasks on time
  • Self-starter with superb attention to detail and an understanding of the “big picture”. Experience operating with a high degree of autonomy
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or a similar field working on systems and scaling processes
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • Experience providing clear guidance to broader team not directly reporting to individual

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of E2E financial processes including how upstream transactions interface with the ERP General Ledger
  • Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion, or other similar systems
  • Experience in systems environment with a majority of customized builds & solutions
  • Experience designing and implementing financial systems (ERP upgrade/rollout)
  • Highly collaborative temperament, excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading the design of new reporting leveraging visualizations
