Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing full funnel integrated digital marketing strategies to drive both brand and commerce goals across multiple regions. This person will balance the technical aspects of search marketing (both paid and organic) with the ability to craft a compelling hook to drive engagement. Bringing deep expertise in SEO, SEA, Display, Paid Social, he/she will manage budget allocation for search ads, measure and manage ROI on that budget, and continuously improve the organic search performance of our web properties.

This role reports directly to the Digital Marketing & Lead Generation Director.

The position can be located in the US or EMEA. The ideal candidate can be flexible in hours.

What you can expect to do on a daily basis

Define & implement the paid media strategy

  • Own the paid media strategy and optimize media mix model to drive web traffic and conversion growth and meet goals across Search, Display, Paid Social and other paid channels.
  • Manage the allocation of advertising budget into campaigns aligned with acquisition of self-service and enterprise customers
  • Develop integrated paid and organic programs that significantly increase the marketing database and overall pipeline (e.g., Google PPC, content marketing, webinars, events)
  • Support Lead Generation activities by providing recommendations on the appropriate paid media strategy to maximize traffic on landing pages, events and other marketing tactics

Define and implement the SEO strategy 

  • Work with Product Marketing team to identify relevant keywords
  • Provide SEO audits, deploy SEO strategy (technical, semantics, netlinking, competitive) and detect traffic opportunities
  • Work with Content Teams to ensure that the SEO strategy is well articulated in all digital assets. Advise on standards and practices for technical and content aspects of SEO
  • Manage SEO projects with Website team, provide briefs, implement and follow up on the action plan
  • Track SEO performance on Platform.sh websites and propose corrective action plans
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive environment and identify opportunities to differentiate.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Create and monitor paid media campaigns, optimizing for return on investment
  • Report on website (organic) and advertising performance
  • Manage budget, and develop a performance dashboard to show how strategies have delivered against objectives.
  • Analyze paid media campaign KPIs and outcomes in detail, drawing insights and presenting results clearly to facilitate sound decision making and next steps

What you bring 

  • 5-year experience minimum in traffic acquisition with an expert level understanding of Search, SEO, Display, Paid Social and other paid media tactics
  • Experience developing full digital media strategies to achieve both brand and business goals.
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellence in using SEO / paid media tools (SEMRush, AWR, Search Console, Google analytics, 6sense……)
  • Passion for digital marketing
  • Capacity to work in project mode with other teams (Content, Website, various task forces)
  • Capacity to evangelize SEO best practices across the company

About our recruitment process 

We don’t expect a great hire to meet every requirement we have listed. If you can see yourself elevating the team we want to hear about your story. Few of us would be here had we not taken a chance.

You can expect 1-4 interviews on Google Meet. We leave the process fairly customizable to teams and roles, so in some scenarios, we’re able to streamline the process to have minimal rounds. Expect a higher number of rounds for director-level roles and above.

Additionally, you can schedule coffee chats with potential future peers while you’re in the recruitment process to see if you can envision working together. Use interview and coffee time to make sure the company aligns with your best working environment.
