The Director of Advertising Operations will play a leadership role in developing, growing, and managing the digital technical operations of the TeamSnap advertising business. This role will encompass a breadth of several critical areas including ad technology, ad operations, and programmatic revenue. This position reports to Nicole McCormack, GM of Advertising & Commerce with cross-functional partners in marketing, sales, product, engineering, and finance.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Responsible for the development of TeamSnap’s advertising operations and ad trafficking.
    • Grow the advertising operations team responsible for TeamSnap’s open marketplace revenue channel.
    • Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of decision tools
    • Manage ad ops trafficking partner and process
    • Maximize revenue by optimizing TeamSnap’s technology stack
    • Seek to monetize advertising inventory with optimal yield while maintaining a premium advertising environment and high quality user experience.
    • Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of decision tools
    • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for TeamSnap advertisers and ad campaigns, both direct and programmatic.
    • Clearly summarize and articulate simple solutions to complex problems and create extensive documentation on all processes and ad guidelines/specifications
    • Work with product and engineering to stand up and establish ad technology
    • Collaborate with our internal teams to provide recommendations and optimizations on ad placement and new ad format adoptions
    • Identify strategic vendor partners and build and establish strong relationships to scale the business and increase programmatic monetization.
    • Stay abreast of industry developments and demand for latest advertising capabilities.

What’ll set you up for success:

    • 10+ years of experience in digital and mobile advertising with subject matter expertise in programmatic advertising
    • Expertise in advertising technology, including ad servers, supply side platforms, and analytics platforms
    • Knowledge of online advertising industry and industry trends: desktop, mobile, and video
    • Strong knowledge of campaign lifecycle management, ad sales process, trafficking, QA, performance analytics/ reporting.
    • Experience with Google Ad Manager is a must.
    • Proven ability to drive programmatic revenue generation
    • Experience in negotiating and reviewing ad tech and ad ops agreements
    • Experience with ad serving systems, billing systems, and yield management systems
    • Ability to communicate risks and opportunities to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
    • Strategic thinker. We are looking for an individual that takes an insightful, future oriented, open-minded and proactive approach to thinking.

We are headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, but this job is remote (unless you happen to live near Boulder, in which case you’re welcome to come to the office). TeamSnap is a mostly-distributed company, so you must be very comfortable working with people who aren’t in the same physical location as you or each other. While we love all parts of the world, we can only hire permanent US residents at this time.
