About your role

Decimal is looking for a Director of Engineering to help build our engineering team and have meaningful influence over our technology, our design principles, and the makeup of our team and culture.


The position is remote – we welcome qualified candidates located anywhere in the United States.


What you’ll do

  • Own ideas from inception to execution
  • Work directly with founders to define the product and engineering roadmap
  • Help assess, hire and mentor your future team
  • Be chief engineer: make or delegate core architecture decisions
  • Represent engineering on the leadership team



  • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer
  • 1+ years of experience leading an engineering team
  • You have shipped full-stack products before – whether it was in your day job or projects outside of work
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
  • Experience in small startup environments
