As a Director of Product Management you will be responsible for driving innovations and accelerating capabilities for our core platform. This leader will build and oversee an experienced product management team and work cross functionally to design, build, and roll-out products and features that align with Drata’s strategy and vision. This leader should have a track record in creating innovative solutions for complex situations, developing a customer-driven product vision, and driving execution plans in hyper growth startups. The Director of Product Management reports to the VP of Product.

What you’ll do:

  • Deep customer empathy
  • Passion for identifying and solving problems with the ability to conduct effective customer interviews
  • Proven track record developing and executing complex product strategy at scale, solving problems across organizational boundaries to deliver awesome user experiences and game changing solutions
  • Capable of breaking down a big vision into small deliverables and defining an MVP to quickly learn and iterate
  • Ability to form hypothesis and run experiments using lean methodologies
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering, product and design teams to define, build, and maintain products/features
  • Passion for creating an inclusive team environment, facilitating honest and respectful dialogue in a strong outcome driven environment
  • Strong communication, storytelling and collaboration skills – experience communicating product strategies and tradeoffs to diverse audiences, including the executive level
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to pursue opportunities beyond current constraints
  • Exceptional collaboration skills working with PMs, engineers, designers, marketers, and customer success teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and a track record of driving business value through effective product stewardship and data-driven decision-making
  • Growth mindset with a desire for continuous improvement
  • 10+ years designing and delivering world-class software products and 5+ years of experience managing product management teams
  • Experience with two-sided networks and consumer products highly desired

Requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience leading product development teams
  • Great interpersonal skills so you can collaborate with a diverse range of colleagues in other disciplines and cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 4+ years of experience building, managing and scaling world-class product teams
  • Knowledge of user centric design methods of innovation and ideation
  • Knowledge of web and mobile technologies and their impact on the feasibility of a design
  • Experience with a consumer product that is widely loved is a plus, as well as experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
