One of the key initiatives to frontline this growth is Chargebee Academy, a learning hub and community initiative, which is aimed at creating a tribe of subscription operators. Here’s a quick rundown of this role.
Why you are needed here?
You will be part of Chargebee’s marketing team and specifically, part of the team that builds Chargebee Academy, a learning platform for subscription operators across the globe. This will be a collection of resources to guide not only Chargebee’s customers but also professionals from other subscription businesses. This initiative needs dab hands to construct a best-on-the-internet learning platform—about everything from subscription management and recurring billing to revenue operations.

What you will work on here
The full-stack marketer will primarily focus on launching courses and certifications. You will be the owner for taking the Academy live in a phased manner and will oversee the metrics for the learning funnel.
Strategise:Think up initiatives for different pillars of product marketing—acquisition, conversion, retention and awareness. Your product is Chargebee Academy. Here’s your chance to define the marketing strategy for this product from scratch.
Execute:Work with the content owner to get courses ready. You’ll write emailers, landing page copy, and scripts for promo videos, to name a few. Launch new courses to the right audience and drum up users for the Academy.
Drive up engagement: Organize webinars, plan and execute campaigns to boost up engagement on the Academy.
Drive Demand:Work with Customer Success Managers to bring in new customers into the Academy and help boost stickiness with the product for them. You will also run campaigns and work with the performance marketing team to bring in new leads into the Chargebee Academy.
Analyse: Roll up your sleeves and work with ops to set up the analytics for Academy. Look at what is working and what is not. Surface ways to improve and put in place the reporting needed to make this happen.
Research: Identify the learning needs of customers and other subscription professionals. Talk to customers and prospects to understand how they’ve been able to scale (or not). You’ll drive research initiatives to collect valuable nuggets of wisdom from the market to fuel new content.
Your work will have two elements to it—a strategic element and a tactical element. Strategically, you’ll help decide what the Academy needs and why it needs it. Tactically, you’ll find ways to execute it and take these ideas to completion.
