What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

At Meta Reality Labs (RL), we’re building user-friendly devices and experiences that make people feel closer. This includes product groups for Metaverse, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Home & Work, along with research and development labs and artificial intelligence teams.We are pushing technological boundaries with this technology – and are committed to building it with privacy and responsible innovation at the forefront of our approach. As the Head of Metaverse Privacy Strategy, you’ll lead a team of strategists working to build a healthy Metaverse and XR experience from the earliest days of its development. You’ll join a broader team of strategists who help shape privacy strategy for what we build in Reality Labs.

Head of Metaverse Privacy Strategy Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the holistic privacy strategy for the metaverse and its constituent product groups in partnership with product leaders.
  • Drive Reality Labs positioning on privacy sensitive topics particularly relevant to the Metaverse (e.g., identity authentication).
  • Lead and grow a team of privacy strategists.
  • Develop principles and implement frameworks for building privacy and other responsible innovation topics into the product development process.
  • Drive our cross-functional approach to privacy in new and existing features.
  • Work with product leadership to identify, escalate, and resolve tension between product objectives and organizational values.
  • Help establish and direct long-term goals of product and engineering teams as they relate to privacy.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational growth and drive creative and scalable improvements.
  • Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Build and manage relationships with leaders throughout Reality Labs, and Meta.
  • Apply industry expertise to influence privacy considerations in product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience managing programs and building consensus among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience forging relationships with product, engineering, user research, legal, communications, and policy teams, advising c-suite leaders and key stakeholders across large-scale, global companies.
  • Experience working in privacy, policy, safety, integrity and/or ethics.
  • Experience leading, managing, developing and motivating a diverse team across geographical regions. Experience building high performing, inclusive teams.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • 12+ years experience in the technology sector.
  • 8+ years of experience with team leadership, people management and cross-functional team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in AR, VR or smart home devices.
  • Advanced degree in public policy, law, business, or ethics.
  • Experience producing guidance under deadlines.
  • 15+ years experience in the technology.
  • 10+ years of experience with team leadership, people management and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Experience with social technology.
  • A love for gaming.
