The Director of Product is responsible for defining the product strategies and customer outcomes that their product team(s) work to achieve and ensuring that the products delivered meet the needs of Flowspace’s partners and customers.

What You'll Do:

    • Lead, manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, designers, and related team(s)
    • Lead product hiring and implement best practices in the training of new product employees
    • Plan, assign and direct workloads
    • Build, and manage career ladders, ensuring employees know what is expected and provide guidance as needed with continuous check in's / updates.
    • Provide performance, encouragement, and coaching towards building and retaining a high performing team
    • Create and roll out goals, projects and as needed, development plans for members of the team
    • Provide lifecycle management from concept to phasing out of the product(s) across all products/product lines.
    • Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy and vision in line with the businesses long-term goals.
    • Assess product development and enhancement opportunities
    • Oversee competitive research and technology to ensure we stay abreast of new product advantages and concepts
    • Establish program priorities in line with the business objective
    • Lead the product roadmap, ensuring quality output across teams of teams towards business impact
    • Develop budgets, forecasts, metrics and measurements, monitoring and evaluating results along the way, flexing and shifting to support growth and any business changes.
    • Responsible for ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration outside of the product team (i.e. engineering, customer success, etc), and constantly providing support for cohesive team input, and engagement
    • Oversee the establishment of strategic marketing plans for each product or product line.
    • Will support CTO with product press releases
    • Will ensure and foster a collaborative, respectful and inclusive environment with the team and across the business, keeping our company values at the forefront of what we do and how we treat each other and our customers.

Who We're Looking For:

    • 10-15 years experience in product design, product development, and leadership at a fast-paced SaaS company
    • Ability and experience in understanding complex systems
    • A sincere care and passion for growth and competitiveness, pushing Flowspace towards scalability, functionality, and an exceptional user experience
    • Detailed, and analytical capability, with a focus on innovation, best practices, and advocates for expert methodologies
    • Ability to be successful and thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
    • Exceptional leadership skills, respectful, and collaborative across all levels and teams, serving as an example to the Product team
    • Leadership with a sense of humility and appreciation for their team, understanding their daily work, paying attention to their needs, helping them reach their goals, and ensuring they give their best to the product.

Bonus Points:

    • SaaS experience is required, but background in logistics, warehouse management, inventory management is a plus
    • Start Up experience

Other Helpful Things To Know:

    • This is a 100% remote position, so our employees must be able to successfully function in a virtual setting, including the ability to work with/ manage teams across various time zones, with reasonable expectations/ hours.
    • The employee must be able to successfully manage a variety of virtual technology and collaborative tools, to successfully communicate and manage their remote environment (i.e. Slack, Zoom, etc).
    • 10% travel is required for employee team gatherings / conferences
