We’re looking for an Inside Sales Manager to lead our growing Inside Sales team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Inside Sales operations run smoothly. The Inside Sales Manager’s responsibilities include providing ongoing professional development opportunities for the Inside Sales team, motivating the sales team to achieve sales targets, and developing an effective step-by-step process of nurturing leads and closing sales. The ideal candidate for this role should have experience bringing structure and proven sales methodologies to a growing ISR organization, a record of implementing successful funnel management and lead qualification, and has an innate ability to navigate ambiguity that comes with being in a fast paced organization! You should also be able to utilize market analysis tools to determine customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity.

This role consists of building and leading a team designed to generate an adequate pipeline to exceed sales targets.  By obsessing over sales metrics and team performance you’ll create the ISR strategy to ensure team goals are achieved. You work closely with  the broader Saltbox Growth team and ensure your team not only understands our full product offerings but can deliver the Saltbox value prop. Ultimately, you will improve our Company’s overall ability to be a place where ecommerce companies can launch and grow their business.

Responsibilities include:

  • This role will be 25% pipeline management  and 75% people management
  • Define appropriate SLAs and consistently monitor to improve the sales activities of your team
  • Identify hiring and competency / skills gaps on your team and provide recommendations to the Sales Manager
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement Lead, Marketing Managers, and other cross functional partners to advise, create, and execute on coordinated best practice prospecting and campaigns
  • Develop testing strategy for cadences to yield increased response and improved conversion rates
  • Build an open-communication culture inside your team
  • Improve the “frontline” sales team experience and their ability to sell Saltbox Logistics Solutions
  • This role is remote with a minimum of 20% travel required. The preference is for you to be located near a current or future Saltbox. Atlanta preferred
    • Current Markets Include: Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle and Columbus
    • Upcoming Markets Include: DC, Minneapolis Miami, Phoenix

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a leader of leaders in ISR software sales or BDR/SDR/Inside Sales
  • Experience creating a diverse and inclusive team environment that fosters trust and a sense of empowerment via a purposeful culture
  • Experience building skills, confidence, and trust with direct reports as well as provide developmental feedback for continuous improvement
  • Expertise managing within data driven sales models
  • A strong track record of hiring, teaching, coaching, developing, and mentoring successful ISR or Sales teams in a high velocity, high growth business
  • Proficiency in collaborating with peers and leaders to achieve common goals
  • Previous experience working in software, IT and/or SaaS industries and, ideally, Salesforce and Salesloft
  • Willingness to learn and adapt. Bias towards action and results
