If you like helping people, Community Product Operations is for you.This role is for a manager on the Messenger Integrity Operations team within Community Product Operations. Our team strives to create a safe atmosphere for users through our Community Standards by providing outstanding support, education, and care for the various people around the world who use our platforms. The team focuses on ideating, testing and implementing process improvements that enable us to prevent bad experiences for the Messenger community by efficiently reviewing abuse at scale and ensuring the review is accurate and achieves the best outcome for the community. We drive the operational protocol to scale our enforcement of the community standards to our community of 2 billion people. On this team, you will have the opportunity to directly protect the safety of the Messenger community by leading a team responsible for building protocol, strategies and operations to reduce the prevalence of problem abuse areas on our platforms.A successful candidate should be an experienced operations manager who is data-driven, solutions orientated, and a consistent self-starter who proactively identifies risks and opportunities to improve and drive efficiencies in the team, while directly supporting the growth, development and impact of the people in the team. We are seeking an intellectually curious and creative individual who is comfortable operating in ambiguity – a strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. You have a passion for developing others and bring out the best in your teams. You are an influencer, who will work directly with our cross-functional teams (engineering, product, etc.), as well as all of the teams within Community Product Operations, to scale global projects from inception to launch.

Manager, Messenger Integrity Operations Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and career development to a team of program managers
  • Lead and enable a high-performing team to deliver on goals by providing superb 1:1 support, and enabling deeper, more scalable solutions
  • Define team strategy and vision, establish team goals and work with direct reports and leaders across the organization on strategies for executing, measuring progress and sharing results
  • Deliver projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development, working directly with global cross-functional teams to implement next-generation community experiences through process, policy and product improvements
  • Be able to effectively zoom in and out to address near term business needs as well as setting a long-term strategy for Community Support
  • Build strategic relationships with global and cross-functional partners to drive improvements to the community support experience
  • Utilize strategic tools, systems, and data to help the team analyze trends and deliver insights to define goals and improve processes
  • Coordinate with global cross-functional teams including PR/Communications, Public Policy, Legal, Quality, Engineering, and others to problem solve and develop solutions
  • Advocate for the community support aspect of new products, partnering with global and cross-functional teams to develop global solutions
  • Communicate process, policy and product concepts effectively to leadership, business and cross-functional partners

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience working in large-scale operations, domains such as online operations, informational systems, compliance, risk management, policy, legal operations or management consulting
  • Demonstrated experience influencing across functional boundaries and/or globally
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience
  • 2+ years of people management or leadership experience
  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (such as SQL, Excel, R, Tableau, or Stata)
  • Experience working in a technology company or consulting firm
