BARBICIDE® partnered with Merit to provide digital credentials to beauty professionals worldwide, exceeding two million digital, portable, shareable BARBICIDE® merits sent to date through Merit’s verified identity platform. The merits are granted for completion of BARBICIDE’s widely utilized courses on safety standards and best-practices.
Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) partnered with Merit to streamline licensing and digital credentialing for the more than 300,000 professionals across more than 40 industries that are required to have a license to work. With Merit, those licenses are now digital, accessible, and easily verifiable by consumers and businesses.

The Role
Provide coordination and support in the daily management of Merit’s Finance, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and IT teams. You will support identification, creation, and coordination of solutions to improve efficacy and efficiency of existing operational processes or to unlock new capability to help us scale. You will work closely within all Corporate Operations teams as well as with all other Merit teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination for all Corporate Operations Efforts. As a member of the Operations team you will work with operations experts supporting all Merit teams and will become an expert on Merit’s teams and processes.

Responsibilities

    • Work closely with all Corporate Operations leaders to understand and coordinate priority work
    • Maintain relationships with diverse Merit stakeholders as a representative of Merit’s Corporate Operations teams
    • Leverage project planning tools to document and coordinate Corporate Operations efforts
    • Coordination between Merit teams to ensure smooth business operations
    • Identify and respond to risks and active issues/errors/escalations through thorough investigation to produce insights for short/medium/long term resolution
    • Lead and cross-collaborate on iterative problem definition and design/scoping to build solutions to business problems
    • Support content creation for corporate teams including drafting, review, and dissemination
    • Support Merit teams in identifying, assessing, and implementing new tools
    • Coordinate corporate communications including our weekly All Hands meeting, office hours, and internal newsletter
    • Support planning and coordination of Merit gatherings
    • Step in to support Corporate Operations teams in other functions as needed

Qualifications

    • Experience supporting a Human Resources, or Finance team
    • Proficiency with diverse technology tools including Google Suite, project management software, help desk, and others
    • Experience in a startup environment is preferred
