Job Description

As the Product Manager at Berkeley Payment Solutions, you will be responsible for Product Strategy, Product Requirements, and Pre-Sales Strategy.

You will own the Berkeley Product Roadmap analyzing product data to make product recommendations, interviewing customers to receive customer feedback, compiling product data, and performing product market research.

You will work closely with various departments within Berkeley Payments; supporting and communicating with the Sales team and gathering their input to inform our product strategy, and working with Technology to communicate product requirements and support development plans in a timely manner.

This role is highly customer-facing, so you must enjoy and be superb at communicating with customers and partners. You will need to be a superb communicator, story-teller, and listener, who can adapt our existing products and features to a client’s / prospect’s requirements and help them understand why your recommendation is the best recommendation. 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Develop an understanding of company products to meet the company’s current and future needs.

• Provide research of market and industry trends to support product roadmap and product lifecycle management

• Evaluate product recommendations from customer requirements, sales-team input, and partner input to inform product roadmap.

• Perform competitive analysis on the market in order to build better, more useful products for existing and new customers.

• Create and Analyze product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

• Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive growth.

• Solicit customer feedback through customer interviews, workshops, and focus groups to inform product usability and roadmap.

• Manage product roadmap including prioritization of feature growth and enhancements.

• Translate product strategy and roadmap into detailed requirements.

• Develop and oversee small to medium scale projects.

• Create buy-in for the product vision and roadmap both internally and with key external partners

• Work with other company departments to improve the analysis and presentation of products.

• Write product focused content for the collateral and promotional materials

• Develop sales support materials and tools to help direct and indirect Sales teams effectively communicate offerings

• Assist the sales team with client input, sales discussions, and the production of presentations and proposals.

Desired Skills and Experience

Mandatory Requirements (please do not apply if you do not meet all of these requirements):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or any related field.

• 1 to 3 years of product management experience (i.e. product analyst, product associate, product manager, etc.).

• Track record of managing successful product throughout its lifecycle

• Ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

• Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

• The ability to balance customer needs against the company’s vision.

• Strong oral and written communication skills to excel at client and prospect interactions.

• The ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

• Excellent time management skills.
