Product Manager Product Manager

The Product Manager will join the retention team to help make an immediate impact by building internal tools and products that will support retaining current one-time and recurring customers. The Product manager’s main responsibility will be to manage the development of a signed-in user experience and to implement the Honest Paws loyalty program.  This person will work closely with the Head of Retention and be responsible for driving KPIs by creating new features/products and continuously optimizing current features through testing and analytics.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for defining the scope of development for new product features, ongoing feature improvements including management of all backlog and project management activities.
• Write and prioritize user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
• Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team.
• Analyze member behavior by conducting A/B testing as well as analyzing site/app usage trends.
• Develop a technical understanding of Honest Paw’s tech stack.
• Develop methodologies to test new product features and ideas.
• Recommend new product ideas and/or new features to management in order to improve metrics.
• Use app as well as website to monitor any unexpected issues/bugs and take action to fix.
• Evaluate market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products. Always be on top of industry trends.
• Own the outcome of key metrics set by management.
• Build custom funnels and optimize check out experiences.

In the first month

• Learn the Honest Paw’s tech stack. Understand all integrations and identify changes or new systems that could be implemented.

• Own prioritizing development work

In the first six months

• Work alongside Senior Product Managers to discover new product opportunities for your backlog.
• Develop a repeatable model for delivering upon our roadmap initiatives.
• Work across the Product team to measure and refine the roadmap, backlog, and processes to make improvements over time.
• Constantly re-evaluate your roadmap’s alignment with the strategic goals of the business, adjusting where necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

• BS/BA degree

Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years of ecommerce or internal product management work experience
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and Shopify
• Experience with loyalty programs and logged in user experiences
• Ability to creatively craft solutions through data and a customer-centric approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong expertise using data to make decisions with a variety of tools and methodologies to gather and synthesize information.
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work within time constraints
• Knowledge and interest in web/app technologies, social media, research, and digital marketing
• Excellent team player with strong attention to detail and time management skills
