Over the last 17 years Confluence has grown to become a popular product for the world’s content creation and collaboration needs. Since then more and more organizations have chosen Confluence for its flexibility, customizability, extensibility and for helping them to create and share knowledge. This has scaled Confluence’s usage both horizontally with more organizations adopting Confluence and vertically with more spaces, pages, comments etc in a single Confluence instance. As the industry and our customers shift from on-premises to cloud we will ensure they have a great experience in Confluence Cloud regardless of their size. This makes the Confluence Scale team critical to Confluence and Atlassian.
We are looking for a bold, creative Product Manager who can lead this team in tackling the challenge of ensuring Confluence Cloud can scale for the largest of our customers and beyond.
In this role you’ll get to:
Lead the design & development of tooling for certifying, reporting and maintaining current scale capabilities of Confluence Cloud
Lead the efforts to optimize the application to support large customers
Lead the efforts for finding and fixing the current limits & bottlenecks of Confluence Cloud
You will partner with engineering and design to form a triad that can inspire and lead your teams to success. Your work will impact millions of users and thousands of partners for decades to come. All this, while creating extraordinary products, we also bring fun, excitement and speed to consumer software.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
4+ years of experience in product management, with a history of shipping both consumer products and cloud services
4+ years of experience in highly technical, multi region, highly available platforms
Self starter with the ability to influence teams to build better products with a constant dedication to understand, question and improve the experiences for our users
Real passion to understand customer needs and a strong motivation to solve their problems
Data and detail oriented, while balancing quality and quantity
Ability to inspire the team to build better products with a constant dedication to understand, question and improve the experiences for our users
Able to lead products that require coordination across multiple teams
Ability to communicate directly and clearly, with a strong emphasis on careful listening
Flexible and able to adapt to changes
