Groupon, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Product Analytics & Insights to join our team to be a part of our product & engineering organization, our Analytics team strives to be the voice of the customer in the decisions Groupon makes. We develop and use data technologies and advanced analytics to sift through large amounts of data and distill it into information about our customers' wants and needs. We then integrate these insights into the product decision-making process.

 

You will be responsible for understanding customer behavior and translating that into actionable insights that can impact business performance and our user experience. The team isn't just skilled in sql & statistics,, but has a real passion for business & being the voice of customers, a dream to go into bold new ideas, and a willingness to go the last mile on execution.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • You will build and maintain data pipelines for onsite behavior/transactional performance data capture

  • Develop data visualization to help executive stakeholders understand performance and make key business decisions

  • Develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, etc.

  • Develop and maintain data structures, pipelines, system processes, workflows in support of decentralized and embedded business line analysts using SQL, Teradata etc.

  • Collaborate with product management stakeholders to design and deliver analysis that informs our product roadmap

  • Build business cases that evaluate opportunities prior to changes being built/tested and validate impact post-launch

  • Monitor KPIs and business drivers, highlighting trends and investigating underlying causes of discrepancies

  • Perform in depth analyses with an ability to organize, integrate and analyze large amounts of data both for operational support as well as for quality assurance and solution design purposes

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience as an Analyst or in a similar role

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of leveraging data insights to influence business decisions

  • Any level of experience with one or more reporting tools (Tableau) 

  • Knowledge of data warehouse design, source to target specifications, prototyping data sets, process analysis, and critical thinking skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross stakeholder teams
