What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

This position acts as the primary brand journalist on a portfolio of client accounts, working directly with the client and the consulting team to create award-winning content for the client. The senior writer plays a key role in managing a writing team to conceive and deliver clients’ written content. The senior writer is responsible for writing a variety of content including blogs, long-form pieces, emails, landing pages, and other miscellaneous copy. This position is also responsible for auditing the work of writer colleagues’ as needed. This position roughly involves 50% writing tasks and 50% administrative and management duties.

The Day-to-Day: 

• Utilize your ability to translate client strategy into creative, compelling copy
• Work within a cross-functional team to ideate  and contribute to the editorial content and content quality
• Execute the client’s brand voice, tone, and messaging
• Create high-quality and differentiated copy in the form of blogs, e-books, case studies, headlines, web copy, emails, social and more
• Understand the principles of inbound and content marketing strategy and the role copywriting plays
• Own your clients’ brand voice to ensure it is executed across all tactics
• Audit writer performance for style, grammar, logic, flow, repetition, and to ensure it’s on strategy
• Conduct in-depth research to learn new subjects or industries as needed
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts
• Practice and hone the art of narrative journalism
• Assign in-house staff or freelancers to accounts and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide coaching and training to writing staff
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is required
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with writing and writing management
• Experience conducting topic research and the correct use of references and citations
• Expertise in the fundamentals of inbound and content marketing
• Agency experience writing about B2B topics
• Experience working remotely in similar roles is strongly preferred
