(Senior) Data Engineer Data Analysis

We’re redefining the dining experience by building a world-class mobile ordering and delivery platform. We are building a two-sided marketplace that is helping small businesses grow and acquire new customers while also bringing concierge level convenience to thousands of consumers.

We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to own the data infrastructure at Waitr. The Sr. Data Engineer will add third party integrations, and ensure internal users have fast access to our data lake.

Essential Functions

• maintaining and building new data pipelines

• own the uptime, management and reliability of our data warehouse (AWS Redshift)
• build high performing and scalable data systems to support multiple internal and 3rd party data pipelines and make the data available as soon as possible
• contribute to the continued evolution of Waitr’s data stack and data modeling.
• Own data pipeline orchestration with Apache Airflow

Required Education and Experience

• BS in Computer Science
• 3 years experience with python and SQL, and database management

Preferred Education and Experience

• MS in Computer Science
• 5 years experience with python and SQL, and database management

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
