Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Microsoft Programs – Americas plays a significant role in growing Microsoft Programs and Go-To-Market (GTM) by managing the Americas Microsoft GTM and Program teams, Microsoft relationships, Microsoft GTM strategies, Microsoft partner enablement strategies (Americas), and by promoting partner enablement across Pax8 by effectively aligning GTM and sales plays alongside product marketing efforts and the Global Microsoft Alliance team. They develop and execute strategic plans to achieve GTM strategic plan targets in collaboration with multiple departments at Pax8. The Senior Director drives key regional executive briefings, innovate, and drive new investable models for Microsoft MDF and manage the overall success of the Pax8 Microsoft GTM and Program Teams in the Americas. They build regional strategy to mobilize partners to consume Microsoft resources and participates in Microsoft programs throughout the Americas, creating regional geo synergy and global scalable GTM plans. The Senior Director drives all regional Microsoft KPIs to obtain incremental invest from Microsoft for Pax8 and our partners. They serve as an external and an internal customer.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Act as Microsoft liaison to support proposed investable models, strategic sales plays, and alignment of all Programs and GTM strategies regionally
- Act as “Microsoft Advocate” in the digital space by creating next generation digital content in collaboration with Marketing and Film teams for website landing page, social media, and events while being the channel brand of Pax8 + Microsoft
- Act as “thought leader” and drive execution of next logical practice that are appropriate for the partner’s needs and business model with a Microsoft GTM and Programs for Pax8 Americas
- Ensure partners are equipped with the right tools and resources to compete effectively against every competitive scenario they encounter throughout Pax8 Microsoft Programs, sales and GTM strategies
- Provide insights and performance reporting to the Americas CRO and SVP for Business Development as well as to the Senior Director of Microsoft Programs – Corporate, aligning to the WW ROB
- Manage the innovation, creation, and collaboration with company provided resources to drive partner enablement and recruit partners and maintaining a tight alignment with VSM, Academy, Finance, Marketing, ProServe, Sales and peers
- Career Coaching and Development with direct reports
- Ongoing development of and reporting on OKR’s
- Drive the Directors of Microsoft team’s educational and certification initiatives alongside with Pax8 Academy
- Participation in all Microsoft Regional MBR’s and QBR’s
- Build executable GTM plans aligning to the Global Microsoft business plan
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least five (5) years of experience working in Sales and/or Business Development
- Both Technical and Business background preferred
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft products
- Background in Microsoft cloud solutions and hardware
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Proven success in selling through the indirect channel or Microsoft direct; passion for empowering partners to serve their customers
- Knowledge of or demonstrated ability to learn and create sales strategies
- Experience managing others, track record of influencing peers, and maintaining poise under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective business reviews
- Ability to engage cross-functionally to request resources and coordinate events
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing, and presenting in front of groups
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, executive presentations and innovations in 1:1 and 1:many settings
- Ability to design and deliver presentations in live, virtual, or hybrid environments
- Proven success in creating scalable business plans to drive the business, analyzing results, and making appropriate modifications to continually improve execution
- Ability to engage cross-functionally to request resources, collaborate, and coordinate multiple projects
- Highly organized with project management skills
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $180,000 or more depending on experience
