This is a remote position.

We are currently working with an established proprietary trading firm based in New York that is seeking experienced FPGA engineers to join their globally distributed team. You will be at the core of the business, working on all aspects of their FPGA system development in a collaborative development team. They are looking for hardwareengineers who love to code, enjoy difficult challenges to solve, and don’t mind the added bonus of having hard work rewarded through recognition and extremely competitive compensation.

Requirements

You should have:
  • Experienced and well-versed in System Verilog or VHDL
  • Some software development in C/C++
  • Scripting in Python, Tcl or Bash
  • Experience in RTL Coding, Hardware Architecture, FPGA Synthesis, Hardware Validation and Testing, Systems Integration, ModelSim, Vivado and/or Static Analysis
  • Writing automated test benches
  • Recent (within the past 5 years) experience as an FPGA developer within a High Frequency Trading firm
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in an analytical or quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Computational Finance, or similar)
  • Excellent design, debugging and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with latency optimization
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A collaborative approach to research, development and optimisation
  • Experience with and knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, Multicast/UDP, Micro- and Milli-meter wave communications, and multi-gigabit communications
