We are Thematic, a fully remote SaaS company with staff in New Zealand and the US. Our mission is to enable companies to build better products. We help product teams understand and prioritize customer feedback. We use AI to analyze surveys, support chat and tickets, reviews to reveal issues and opportunities. Our visualizations provide insights into metrics, their drivers, trends and specific improvement suggestions. Our customers are brands you know including LinkedIn, DoorDash and Jetstar.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Frontend Developer to lead our front-end efforts. This could be either an individual contributor role, or become an opportunity to lead a team.

The position is full time permanent and is remote. You can be based anywhere in the world, as long as you can ensure an overlap with our New Zealand team of at least 3-4h per day on 4 days of the week.

We pay competitive market salaries.

What you will be responsible for:

– Own the technical roadmap and architecture for front-end technologies

– Validation and iteration while implementing UX designs and adding your own design flair

– Automated testing and quality of front-end web application

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • A passion for building products people love to use
  • 5 or more years of experience in web technologies such as Vue, React, Webpack, SCSS; and curiosity to learn more.
  • Shipped significant single page apps, individually or as a technical lead
  • Strive to do work you’re proud of, both technically and in your team interactions; behave like an owner

What you might have, although it’s not required:

– Experience building Enterprise level SaaS applications

– Worked in an ownership-focused startup environment

– Worked in a distributed team

– Contributed to open-source projects
