What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

The Last Mile (TLM) is looking for a Senior Manager of Research and Analytics dedicated to supporting TLM’s mission through organizational learning and growth. This person will be responsible for the development of TLM’s research and evaluation processes and projects across in-prison and reentry programs. The Senior Manager of Research and Analytics will ensure that a consistent culture of reflection and learning exists throughout the organization to inform the current and future iterations of our programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all efforts in designing and managing our internal program performance measurement work
  • Analyze all indicators and outcomes to help leadership team make appropriate strategic and programmatic decisions
  • Work with department leads to ensure that all data is correctly gathered and inputted on a regular schedule by all programming staff
  • Implement any other necessary evaluation methods as appropriate (e.g., personal development assessment surveys, focus groups, photo journaling, etc.)
  • Research best practice implications based on evaluation findings
  • Develop partnerships with external evaluators (e.g., university research partners) and other organizations that can help advance our evaluation and research capacities, serving as the liaison with such collaborators
  • Conduct research and help develop recommendations related to various policy opportunities aimed at improving outcomes for justice impacted folks
  • Translate and disseminate evaluation results (e.g., writing policy briefs and publications) to help shift policy discussions based on promising and best practices revealed
  • Lead the process of creating and facilitating necessary trainings for staff regarding data collection and management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior background in evaluation work required
  • Experience designing and implementing Randomized Control Trials or other large-scale research projects preferred
  • MA or equivalent work experience in research-related field
  • Experience with Salesforce administration preferred
  • Excellent oral and writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated high-level strategic thinking and planning
  • Embrace challenges and new responsibilities with creativity, initiative, and self-direction
  • Experience in justice reform or non-profit settings preferred
  • Empathy, passion and understanding of TLM’s mission, pillars, and community interests
