We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to take our Design Systems to the next level. You’ll help define, scope and build a beautiful and functional system that is used across the product design portfolio. Your work will enable designers and developers to scale and iterate quickly.

What you’ll do

  • Represent design system values and technicalities to the whole Product Design team
  • Advocate for a delightful user experience across our website, products, and components.
  • Ship high-fidelity designs of new components and their variants and quickly prototype solutions to visual and interaction problems.
  • Create and maintain components and style libraries in Figma.
  • Drive updates and improvements based on brand alignment, user research (including your own), and product team feedback.
  • Ensure the coded implementations are aligned with designs.
  • Advocate for accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Devise experiments to test outcomes at scale. Do quantitative predictive analysis to identify meaningful leading indicators.
  • Create clear and concise documentation; articulate the why—and guide designers and engineers in their use of components and patterns.
  • Inspire and support fellow Designers. Foster the Design community at Checkr, inspire collaboration on holistic research questions, thought leadership and strategic insight.

What you bring

  • You are enthusiastic about details – a pixel perfectionist!
  • 6+ years experience in product design, and a portfolio demonstrating exceptional interaction and visual design skills.
  • Experience with design systems and strong system-level thinking.
  • Proven ability to lead design strategy and execution.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards and practices.
  • Humility and openness to act on design feedback in an iterative design process
  • Collaborative work across functions and organizational boundaries
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) is a huge plus.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $121,380-$142,800.
