Loom is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant who will be critical in developing and scaling the revenue accounting, reporting, and billing functions. This role will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager, and as an early member of the Accounting team, this individual will work to build processes for high-impact areas, such as automating reporting from quote-to-cash for the revenue cycle.
Perform revenue month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analytical procedures such as fluctuation and trend analyses.
Perform contract review for revenue recognition considerations, and create and maintain revenue waterfall reports in accordance with ASC606
Own full cycle billing and collections process for B2C and B2B customers, perform analyses of collectability and establish accounting policies for uncollectible accounts.
Identify and implement process improvements, including assessing billing and revenue reporting software to streamline processes.
Manage the sales tax program from development to rollout, including the ongoing nexus review process
Lead and assist with other special projects as needed; drive projects to successful completion
Be an integral partner to and work cross-functionally with the Sales and Customer Success, Data, Finance and Engineering teams as it relates to the end-to-end revenue process.
What We’re Looking For
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
3+ years SaaS industry experience in a revenue accounting role, experience implementing ASC 606 reporting preferred
Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, data driven environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills required to interface cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
Passionate about driving continuous improvement in yourself and within your function
Ability to work collaboratively and independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to work with large sets of data
Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce are a plus
