Job Description
The ServiceNow Engineer plays an important role in the implementation, testing and delivery of ServiceNow technologies for CVS. This role should possess deep technical insights in developing and managing ServiceNow applications and implementing best practices.

Responsibilities include:
– Design, develop, configure, and customize (when appropriate) ServiceNow applications and services to deliver new functionality and capabilities with an eye towards automation
– Follow and improve upon architecture, design, technical documentation, and coding standards for applications and services
– Participate in and collaborate with platform team to ensure proper quality assurance is completed related to unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
– Review, Validate, and Remediate all version and patch upgrades associated with assigned application and services
– Design, develop, and configure workflows, flows, forms, scripts, ACL’s, data transformation, policies, rules, scheduled jobs, and all other underlying logic using Agile methodologies
– Assist the platform team with second level incident resolution, problem root cause analysis, and post change validation; provide on-call support when critical production issues occur

Required Qualifications
– 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow, development and architecture, with diverse hands-on work experience designing, scripting, and coding
– 3+ In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform structure, design, and interactions
– 3+ years of experience in Java JAR development for the ServiceNow MID Server.

Preferred Qualifications
– Expert level understanding of client side and server-side scripting – business rules, script actions, server-side APIs, etc.
– Proven experience in Java JAR development for the ServiceNow MID Server.
– Advanced knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP integration with ServiceNow.
– Advanced experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services etc.) and ServiceNow development approaches for CMS development (CSS, Jelly Scripting).

– Certification in ServiceNow system administration, development and/or certified implementation specialist in one or more product disciplines preferred

– Strong understanding of the ServiceNow Application Suite and Architecture covering ITSM, ITOM and ITBM areas

– Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development approaches

– Knowledge of database design schemas and data modeling including ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
– Demonstrated advanced ability to translate functional business requirements into complex technical solutions.
– Advanced experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services etc.) and ServiceNow development approaches for CMS development (CSS, Jelly Scripting).

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
