We are growing ourtechnical writing team and are looking for someonewho can help us create clear, correct, and easy to use documentation for our commercial and open source products.You will be a part of a diverse team where customer success, empathy, and experimentation are core values.
As a writer at Armory, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders and buildstrong relationships cross functionally to uncover ways to unlock help our customers succeed. As a member of the Product organization, you have a role in how products are built. You can use that as an opportunity to be a strong customer advocate and help improve user experience.
In this role you will:
Own docs.armory.io, release notes, in-product and and open-source documentation as part of a team
Gather information about new features and product changes
Write helpful, accurate, well-organized, consistent, and highly effective content
Actively participate in agile development and represent the interests of the documentation users
Become an expert user of the product and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams
Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to keep our documentation up-to-date, effective, and user-centric
Does the following describe you?
3+ years of technical writing experience
Previous technical writing experience for DevOps or developer audiences
Ability to quickly learn complex concepts and technologies and clearly explain them to others within the target audience’s context
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and proactively determine course
Excellent content planning and organization skills
Excellent written and verbal English language skills
Experience with creating documentation-as-code in an Agile development environment
Experience with Markdown, HTML, CSS, Git CLI,GitHub, Jira, and Linux
Experience working remotely with globally distributed teams
Have these skills, even better!
Ability to read and understand source code written in Go, Java, and Kotlin
Experience with AWS, GCloud, Azure, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Experience using Hugo and Netlify
Experience contributing documentation to open source projects
Experience creating video content
