Hybrid: This is a hybrid role and does not require the employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. In the USA, this is an employee who lives more than 100 miles from their designated primary worksite. Employees may only work remote in the 48 contiguous states.

The Software Defined Vehicle team supports the definition, design, and development of this new vehicle intelligence platform that will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving. This means that you can potentially put a fingerprint on the vehicles that drive down the road! This space is bursting with emerging technical leadership opportunities. You can flex your collaboration muscles as you will be tasked with working with several other areas of engineering, IT, and the business.

The Site Reliability Engineer will lead a new team to lead the production environment and will work with other local team members to provide monitoring coverage during overlap with the team in Israel’s counterparts.

You’ll provide technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs. You’ll also lead development of the software systems team, design content and provide software anomaly corrections, and perform complex design analysis. You’ll be looked at to provide specifics and balance system requirements as well as communicate and support common best practices among the software community.


  • Perform Site Reliability of our environments hosted on Azure
  • 24×7 Production support responsibility based on On-Call roaster for monitoring critical applications and handling incidents
  • Leading Root Cause Analysis of Incidents and Failure Mode Analysis through a blameless postmortem process
  • Work with the application logs, DB queries and infrastructure monitoring tools in order to provide a live status of the environments and for troubleshooting
  • Define application monitoring platform requirements, architecture and design for production environment in partnership with dev, product and IT Operations teams
  • Manage, innovate and create tools, processes and analytics that drive improvements to the visibility, availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of our products and services.
  • Establish performance metrics from each of the applications/systems’ technical components (Webserver, App server, Database, etc.)
  • Provide weekly monitoring and alert analysis and continuous improvement
  • Report vital statistics of application performance in production
  • Make recommendations for adjustments to runtime resources to verify data integrity of data coming from our vehicles

Additional Description


  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • A track record of excellence in maintaining system availability of complex environments at scale
  • Experience with implementing end to end monitoring & alerting
  • Proven experience with scripting languages (NodeJS, Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge in Application Performance Monitoring including end user experience measurement, run-time environment (discovery), Application Profiling
  • Performance metrics from each of the applications/systems, technical components and problem detection and resolution
  • Ability to identify, debug and propose viable solutions to issues of scale and performance
  • Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries, forming alliances with other members of different teams, including dev, QA, product, IT, etc.


  • Prometheus and Grafana experience
  • Proficiency in Linux environments
