Job summary
Amazon Business Payments team is responsible for developing the features and applications used to introduce new and innovative payment methods to customers, providing the end-to-end paying experience on Amazon Business including shared payments. The technology we build and operate varies widely, ranging from large scale Distributed Engineering incorporating the latest from Machine Learning in the Big Data space to customer and mobile friendly User Experiences. We are an Agile team, moving quickly in collaboration with our business to bring new features to Amazon Business customers while having fun and bring new inventions along the way. Software Development Engineer will be responsible for driving Amazon Business payments initiatives which requires design, development, delivery and support of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters in Computer Science or related area or equivalent industry experience
• Experience writing code in a high volume, service based architecture
• 4+ years professional experience in software development
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design and data structures
• Experience with algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $143,700 – 194,400/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
The pay range for this position in Jersey City is $158,100 – 213,800/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Transparency Regulation of Jersey City Municipal Code. Base pay information is based on market location.
