ScatterSpoke is an agile retrospective tool that drives continuous improvements. Besides having various retrospective formats to solicit actionable feedback we leverage machine learning to generate critical insights into how teams feel, emerging patterns, and key topics over time in a format that can be shared with leadership without breaking a team’s trust.

We are a tight-knit team of five looking to add our sixth team member to keep momentum on the reporting and analytics after seeing massive growth over the past few months.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented developer to join our team and be a key member in developing and maintaining ScatterSpoke’s fast-growing technological stack. You’ll be working with the CEO and senior developers to move things forward and get up to speed. The new hire will be focusing on new features and will also be building out our analytics and reporting engine.

Our company is moving towards machine learning so the role will be involved in this area. Not only will the new hire be able to take ownership of improving the product, but also helping take the development in new directions.

Who We Are Looking for

In summary, we’re looking for a passionate engineer who is a problem solver, self-starter, and loves their craft. We’re a small team and there’s no time or resources for micromanagement. Our ideal hire will thrive in autonomy but also with support and resources from the rest of the team. Although we are agile, the balance of work between quality and speed is extremely important.

Required Skills:

  • 1-3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Component-based web design
  • Data schema design
  • Architecture Planning
  • NodeJS/NestJS
  • TypeScript
  • Mongo
  • Redis
  • Angular 11
“Nice to have” skills:
  • GraphQL and Apollo
  • Inversion of control (depending injection) design pattern experience
  • Leadership skills or interest to grow into leadership roles
  • AWS Experience
  • CI/CD lifecycle
  • Scrum and agile development
