Software Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility. You have also kept your coding skills sharp and bring an unwavering passion for managing the dynamics of a fast-paced environment.The Network Secure Channels team focuses on building core infrastructure components that enable Zero Trust communication to production resources from less-secure networks such as our Corporate, Engineering Lab and external Cloud environments. Our mission is to help secure traffic, while increasing ease of use and efficiency for various internal service and employee access use-cases, by developing solutions that are performant, reliable, easy to deploy and maintain. We have built foundational components in this space and broadly collaborate with various security and engineering teams to further develop and adopt our Zero Trust vision.

Software Engineering Manager, Zero Trust Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and organizational leadership
  • Communicate cross-functionally and drive engineering efforts
  • Hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management
  • 5+ years of coding experience in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python, PHP, Go, Rust or other modern languages
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
  • BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years work experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with layer-7 networking (e.g.: protocols such as HTTP, HTTP2, QUIC, TLS)
  • Security experience, especially Zero Trust, authentication, authorization systems and encryption
  • Experience working with large-scale environments including production rollouts and operational support
