What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

What you will do
In this newly create role as a Compensation Manager at Timescale , you will use your global expertise to craft compensation practices and processes that support our worldwide growth. You will assess our current compensation practices, ensure salary and equity ranges are up to date and recommend innovative compensation approaches that are aligned to our strategy and desired outcomes. This role requires highly analytical/quantitative skills. You think from first principles and have an innovative mindset and approach to global compensation.

This role is remote, and English language fluency is a requirement.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Global compensation analysis through benchmarking, market trends, and competitiveness including researching best and innovative practices.
  • Design, implement, and regularly review salary structures and compensation programs that:
    • Align to our values
    • Ensure internal equity
    • Drive attraction and support recruiting efforts
    • Support retention of our people
  • Design and drive compensation planning processes including timelines, communications, budget, systems/tools configuration, training, reporting, and calibration.
  • Partner with our People team to ensure high value cash and equity training, communication, and delivery.
  • Provide data analytics, prepare ad-hoc and regular reports, highlighting trends and themes that provide insight, transparency, and recommendations for the future.

You also have:

  • Experience as a compensation professional in a high growth, global tech start-up is a must.
  • You will have experience working across various geographies, including Europe.
  • You have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with a strong focus on attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Understand international compensation nuances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with an open and helpful approach to your role.
  • You enjoy detail and structure and developing innovative approaches to the dynamic global compensation landscape.
