Hero is seeking a driven manufacturing expert to join our quickly growing team. This position will report to the VP of Operations and will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations within a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead manufacturing activities to ensure production of high-quality products are within schedule and budget
    • Work with product, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to assure manufacturability and testability of the product
    • Manage new product introduction (NPI) process transitioning from R&D to mass production
    • Work with the Supply Chain team to identify and vet new suppliers, assess their capacity, capability, quality, and cost
    • Create and maintain production documentation, engineering drawings and SOPs
    • Resolve manufacturing field failures, and quality issues
    • Identify and drive process improvement; Familiar with R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC

Qualifications:

    • B.S. in mechanical/electrical/manufacturing/industrial engineering; technical master's degree preferred
    • 10+ years of total work experience; 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; 3+ years of people management experience
    • Experience leading new products from concept to mass production; Startup experience is an advantage; Test development experience – advantage
    • Proven success in managing global contract manufacturers and suppliers; Experience working with Asia
    • Experience with CAPA, lean/6sigma, or other continuous improvement techniques
    • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Previous consumer electronics or medical devices experience preferred
    • 5-10% travel to suppliers will be required when possible
