Reporting to the Industrial Segment CIO, the Sr Principal of IT Strategy and Portfolio for all customer facing solutions will be a critical partner to TEIS and Business Unit leadership. As a key partner to the leadership team, this individual will be involved in defining the IT technology roadmaps for all customer facing processes including sales, marketing, pricing and customer care for all BUs in the Industrial Segment.  The roadmaps will be aligned with the strategy of the BUs resulting in shaping further business and IT processes, investments and innovations that truly deliver value for the Industrial Segment. The Sr Principal of IT Strategy and Portfolio will also assure stability of IT systems and excellence in IT projects execution in the segment.

Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a transformational IT leader at a global enterprise. In order to have the credibility to drive necessary change, this individual must have senior leadership experience and a record of delivering IT solutions. S/he will also possess a combination of strategic thinking and IT execution skills at the enterprise level. Beyond excellent delivery skills, the ideal candidate will be a commercially inclined, pragmatic global leader with the ability to create business value through the alignment of technology and business interests.  This leader must be passionate about both internal and external customers, while maximizing relationships to optimize the delivery of business results. In addition, this leader must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, remain adaptable, and be capable of working in a results-oriented business environment. This position also requires strong influencing skills, teamwork, organizational savvy, and an overall commitment to excellence. Ideally, this person has supported a complex business within a global LEAN manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Together with BU CIOs and peers, provide IT leadership and vision for the transformation of the TE Information Solutions organization and services to achieve greater business focus, effectiveness and optimal costs of services.
  • Define and lead execution of the IT technology strategic direction and roadmaps for the Business Units, including digital transformation, in alignment with the business strategy and priorities.
  • Manage the IS segment project portfolio in sales, marketing, pricing and customer care processes
  • Partner with TEIS Centers of Excellence on defining technology requirements to fill business gaps
  • Become a trusted partner with key sales, product management, customer care, and pricing leadership throughout the various BUs within the segment.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s IT Business Analysis Teams analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. They provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. They also configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing, create specifications for systems to meet business requirements and design details of automated systems. At times, TE’s IT Business Analysis Teams may provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

What your background should look like:

  • Significant experience with sales, marketing, customer care, and pricing business processes
  • Transformational thought leadership on strategy, development, implementation and use of IT solutions ideally including experience with SAP and Salesforce.com
  • Track record of strong project and portfolio management
  • Demonstrable success in leading end-user focused business transformation initiatives using the latest technologies that delivered major organizational impact.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, remain adaptable, and be capable of working in a results-oriented business environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or Business (or equivalent).

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 – $170,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
