The Amazon Global team is pioneering cross-border e-Commerce by becoming a one-stop shop for Amazon Customers Worldwide, providing a seamless experience to shop international selection. Selection is a key input driver for this business and we are looking for a dynamic, organized, self-starter program manager to take a leadership role in driving one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses.
Key job responsibilities
The program manager in this role will be focusing on driving Selection enablement initiatives for Exports Business and interact with our worldwide compliance, legal, global technology, catalog and marketplace teams to expand global selection by optimizing selection program management processes to drive improvements for our global customers. The ideal candidate will be expected to have experience and ability driving large initiatives on their own, and operate with autonomy. This person will also have opportunity to lead current retail, core exports, selling partner, and exports compliance initiatives, and will be tasked to drive selection up by partnering with Global teams. This candidate should have solid data analytics skills along with excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. You will work with business teams of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon Global and Expansion at all levels.
A day in the life
This role will manage reporting out to leadership and other global teams on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis about status of global selection focusing on inputs, with a primary focus on US, but will often extend to other source stores (DE, UK, JP). This person will also support different sub programs under global selection like Vendor Restrictions, Rule Management Services (RMP), Supporting global launches, and new process improvements and SOPs
About the team
We are a small team within a large organization, and we solve large, complex meaty issues that cause issues for our international customers and Selling Partners. We are experts in talking cross-functionally about compliance, tech, customers, processes, and priorities as we serve global teams and customers. We dive deep to solve problems and make sure they don’t come back and automate where possible.
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Master’s degree in business, engineering or a related field
• Experience and track record of delivering features and products at scale
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
• Quantitative background with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
