About the Team

Terraform Frontend is one of the many teams focused on and around Terraform Cloud, an application that helps teams use Terraform together. Our mission is to deliver developer happiness and productivity through improved product development experiences, refined and flexible frameworks and processes, and increased support. It is a new team that works alongside the Terraform Cloud teams to:

  • improve the development experience for all software engineers, from the local development environment to the testing utilities and delivery pipelines
  • better onboarding and mentoring experiences to improve hiring and retention across the organization
  • increase support for engineering, product and design, to help collaboration amongst EPD
  • enable product engineering teams to consistently build and iterate over improved UI experiences in shorter timeframes
  • unify with HashiCorp’s design system

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers on the team
  • Work alongside other frontend engineers at HashiCorp around standard methodologies and shared components
  • Help drive the adoption of HashiCorp’s design system within Terraform Cloud
  • Author and complete architectural plans to, for example, reduce build times, improve automated test reliability, or define processes that keep dependencies current
  • Collaborate with product designers on shaping user flows during the design process
  • Program mostly in Javascript using Ember.js, along CSS and markup, learning from and contributing to a team and frontend community HashiCorp is committed to continually improving your skills
