What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

Meta is seeking a Strategic Compliance Program (“SCP”) Specialist who is a highly motivated team player to join the Compliance Programs Office within Meta’s Legal department. This position will play a key role in supporting Meta’s Third Party Risk Management (“TPRM”) and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) programs, directly supporting SCP’s program and technology leads in building and scaling the programs and execution of SCP’s long-term third party strategic roadmap. In this role, you will drive initiatives that promote third party operational excellence, quality, efficiency, and compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders including IT, Procurement, Finance, Risk Management, & Privacy to help build and maintain the TPRM program. You will also serve as the main point of contact for the TPRM program’s external software solution providers (e.g. case management system, screening providers, etc.). Strategic Compliance Program Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Help operationalize and implement enhancements to Meta’s TPRM and M&A processes and introduce innovative approaches and solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop a detailed understanding of cross-functional partners’ processes and contribute to alignment of siloed compliance workflows to reduce duplicative work across teams and systems
  • Draft baseline requirements, develop workflow documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for third party risk management controls across the third party lifecycle
  • Oversee the program’s external software providers’ use of consulting hours and work directly with those providers to remediate system issues that arise in the course of operations, driving problems to resolution, and handling the communications within Meta and with the third party
  • Assist with translating business requirements into technical requirements to support the team’s work with IT and technical program teams on upcoming releases
  • Manage all contracts, PRs, POs, and invoices for the vendors that support the TPRM program Develop Quality Assurance (“QA”) plans and execute the QA steps

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience building relationships and establishing trust and credibility
  • Experience assessing processes, risks, and contributing to a culture of risk-informed decision making
  • 3+ years of third party risk management experience in a relevant industry (internet, technology, or telecommunication) for global organizations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams such as legal, procurement, privacy, and IT engineering
  • Experience taking legal and regulatory concepts and converting them into relevant, practical business requirements
  • First-hand experience working with modern third party risk management systems
  • Communication skills with experience influencing, building consensus, driving change as well as communicating and/or presenting effectively with different levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of third party risks in such domains as Anti-Corruption, Political Activities, Competition, Human Rights, Business Continuity, Privacy, Information Governance, Physical Security, and others
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a global organization
