Today, our workforce management product helps some of the most customer-centric brands (Stripe, Betterment, and Everlane, to name a few) deliver responsive and empathetic customer experiences. We're a scrappy team that believes in crafting high-quality software that solves real, day-to-day problems. 

We’re looking for a Strategic Finance hire who has experience in planning, forecasting and analysis at high-growth startups. Assembled is scaling quickly and the finance team will provide visibility into business performance, deliver insights that drive strategic decisions and enable us to plan for long-term growth. As our first finance hire, you will help us lay the foundation for a world-class finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders of the business to support strategic decision-making and initiative prioritization
  • Lead quarterly and annual planning and forecasting processes
  • Build our operating model and use it to guide resource allocation
  • Establish a regular, reporting-driven operating cadence
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of Finance, including collaborating with our Accounting team on AR/AP
  • Prepare deep-dive analyses to better understand business drivers
  • Support the CEO on communications to investors and other external stakeholders

About you

  • 6+ years of work experience, preferably in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or strategic finance at a high-growth technology company
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with a strong bias towards action
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; be able to synthesize findings and articulate them to a variety of audiences
