Founded in 1981 in partnership with whistleblowers, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is a nonpartisan independent watchdog that works to expose waste, corruption, abuse of power, and when the government fails to serve the public or silences those who report wrong doing. We champion reforms to achieve a more effective, ethical, and accountable federal government that safeguards constitutional principles. POGO has an over $6 million annual budget that supports a staff of over 40 employees.
POGO’s editorial team is looking for a talented Supervising Editor to manage and support POGO’s editorial review and fact-checking processes, including by supervising editorial staff and adding editing capacity for a variety of written products including investigative pieces, policy analysis, public comments, testimony, newsletters, and supporter emails. The Supervising Editor reports directly to POGO’s Director of Research.
