Job Summary

The Technical Business Development Manager will be based in Seattle, WA. This person will be an integral part of our Power Group team with Flex. Primary goal is to establish long term positions for Flex Power at the targeted server and storage market leaders.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Provide technical expertise during product development by determining customer product needs and translating these needs into new product recommendations and specifications.
  • Review customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate product integration efforts between component suppliers, Flex and the customer.
  • Provide best in class complex technical support by answering and closing all customer and program management technical support questions. Develop new strategic alliances with key customers.
  • Analyze and understand customers’ business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex resources where mutually beneficial.
  • Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs, to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration.
  • Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex’s solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services support and reverse logistics.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering or sciences
  • Seven (7) years or more experience in power supply design, program management of advanced power design with specific knowledge of server and storage power market requirements.
  • Previously worked in high interface environments with clients and vendors
  • Must be able to travel internationally (25-30%)
