About the Role

This is an exciting time to be at Snap! Mobile. We are architecting our financial technology infrastructure to handle ever-increasing growth and scale. We are building shared financial services that power multiple products  (Snap! Raise, Snap! Spend, Snap! Store and more) across the Snap! platform and support multiple functions across the organization. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager who is responsible for translating high-level business requirements into technical requirements and delivering functional specification documents for complex product features by working in close partnership with product owners, key stakeholders, program managers, and engineering managers.

The Technical Product Manager is a key leader of the development team that is jointly responsible for the successful delivery of projects and ensuring that the functionality delivered meets the customer needs. This person must want to delight their customer.

This is a full-time, remote position.

Technical Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the roadmaps for Payments, Vault and Ledger shared services that all Snap! products consume to process payments, maintain account balances and securely tokenize PII
  • Discover and define requirements and own the roadmap for the integration of Snap products and third-party solutions into NetSuite for comprehensive and accurate financial reporting to the Finance team of transactional and inventory activity in products.
  • Create new payment types (Split Payments, Install Pay service, Paypal).
  • Developing and supporting critical financial technology infrastructure that supports business operations (e.g. Netsuite) and shared services (payments, ledgers and PII) that support Snap products and customer experiences.
  • As a shared service product owner, capturing requirements from various groups (i.e. finance, product, engineering, etc.) and prioritizing them for their value to the business, and ensuring that the development teams create the best business outcomes.
  • Crafting product roadmaps, communicating progress and managing a release cadence.
  • Drive product design (e.g. APIs consumed by internal customers) and prioritize decisions for your team
  • Business and technical requirements management including functional, availability, performance, & metrics.
  • Making functional and technical design recommendations to both the development team and leadership to best solve our business needs.
  • Writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Partnering with an engineering team to ship functionality
  • Providing visibility to project team and leadership on changes to a project; transparency and recommendations on project trade-offs; stage-gate management and aid in overall project governance
  • Performing light Project Management, including active mitigation of any and all risks to the project scope and schedule

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities in a Technical Product Manager:

  • 3+ years experience owning shared services products
  • Experience with installing ERP’s
  • Experience implementing software infrastructure and shipping APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to think through detailed technology initiatives and requirements.
  • Superb conceptual thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assess technical solutions to meet business objectives
  • Proven ability to deliver projects in a variety of SDLC techniques (i.e Agile, Waterfall) in dynamic environments.
  • Proactively initiates relationships across the company, gathers requirements, and communicates to manager and team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently, requiring minimal check-ins with the manager.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • You have experience with Netsuite, Stripe, VGS.
  • You have experience building accounting, transactional payment, or banking solutions
