Job Summary:

We are helping build the next generation Insurance Engine for Allstate and have an opportunity for several Test Engineers at the cutting edge of testing technology

Your role through a combination of technical knowledge and owning testing will be to ensure quality is built into a new product from the start so that it is seamless, on demand, automated and invisible.

The ideal person / persons will have working knowledge of test automation in complex and large environments, be passionate about delivering quality products and had exposure to Services Testing.

The Test Engineers will be part of a product team which will be responsible for creating modular components that will facilitate the creation of new Policy Platforms across Allstate. Using the latest technologies on the foundational core of JAVA, Spring plus Cloud, this product team will be exposed to the forefront of technology challenges and Design Thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Decompose business requirements to be able to write effective acceptance criteria and automated test scripts for medium/high complexity projects
Designing, coding and documenting automated test cases within a defined framework that support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline
Execute test cases within the Functional, Mobile, or Web Services Automation framework
Quality advocate within their area
Create test data and identify environment needs for medium/high complexity projects
Review, Analyze and Document bugs/issues accurately and clearly
Understand and escalate issues related to the test infrastructure
Provide input and report on test metrics
Create an environment where a Test/Behavior-Driven Development behavior is fostered
Participate in Scrum Daily Stand-up, Sprint and iterative development activities prepared to take on any role within an Agile team

Education and Experience:

2 or more years of related experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Job Qualifications

Experience constructing test plans and executing these plans across functional, regression and system testing
Practical experience with at least one of the following areas: Java, C#, Python, .NET, Selenium, UFT, SQL
Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Experience using test management tools (e.g. HPQC, Jira Zephyr)
Experience with Source Code Management Tools (e.g. Git, TFS, RTC)
Strong knowledge and understanding of Web Services in relation to software testing
Experience utilizing automation tools (e.g. Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, TestNG)
Strong communication and leadership skills
* Strong analytical ability

Compensation Data

The compensation range for this role is between $90,000 and $115,000 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
