What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

Are you ready to combine your passion for an active lifestyle with a meaningful and multifaceted career in the cycling industry? At Specialized, our teammates are encouraged to explore roles in a variety of functions throughout their careers. We value curiosity, a desire to try new things, and an eagerness to learn about all aspects of the business. No matter where you begin with the company, you get to decide where you want to go whether it’s marketing, finance, product development, sales, or an international assignment. Join us in making the world a better place through the power of bicycles and build your dream career at the same time!

As the User Experience Designer on the Apps team, you will define, design, and execute always-on digital experiences that help us connect directly with riders. In this role, you will partner with Product, Engineering, QA and Data teams to solve rider problems with solutions that are delightful and technically feasible to implement. You will be responsible for collaborating with the Beta Program Manager to deeply understand our riders and represent their needs throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with and report directly to the Director of UX.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Use your curiosity, keen design eye and affinity for delightful interactions to create stellar mobile interfaces
  • Be a key contributor to and administrator of the App Design System – the source of truth for all styles, components, patterns, and guidelines of our mobile products
  • Know and empathize with our riders to create outstanding, personalized experiences
  • Own design deliverables from inception through product release
  • Articulate design decisions and trade-offs to internal and external partners to share context and gain alignment
  • Deliver design solutions to rider problems from initial design through final production using diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs
  • Create purely visual elements, skin existing wireframes, create custom icons, and produce basic micro-animations
  • Ensure business needs are met by working directly with project managers to understand product requirements
  • Ensure design solutions are technically feasible by discussing the details with engineers and adjusting where necessary
  • Ensure design intent is carried through to production through rigorous collaboration with engineering and QA
  • Effectively communicate the use cases and behavior of elements in the App Design System using written documentation
  • Transform rider insights into actionable design outcomes

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
