What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

The Opportunity

Re:Coded is looking for a Lead Trainer for our UX/UI Design programs ASAP! In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape UX/UI Design education in multiple countries in the Middle East, bringing more diversity and talent to the industry globally. This is a role for someone with a love for teaching, working, and collaborating with people while using your technical skills for a great cause.

At Re:Coded, we make it a mission to seek out trainers who can inspire with passion, wisdom, positivity, and humor. They show students how to love what they do and LOVE TEACHING. We look for mastery of UX processes, User Research, UX Analysis, Mobile UI Patterns, and UI Kits, as well as several years of experience as a practitioner.

Re:Coded is a globally distributed team and this is a 100% remote role. We are primarily seeking candidates who are located between UTC and UTC+4 time zones but would like to hear from you if you are a great fit and reside elsewhere in the world.

What you’ll do

The UX/UI Design Lead Trainer plays an integral part of the Re:Coded staff, and serves as a team manager, classroom leader and as ambassador for the program at large, while also leveraging the goals of the program in community development and technology.

You will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and delivering key components of multiple cohorts with dozens of student enrollments with a focus on course structure, like weekly one-on-ones and study groups, and act as their go-to technical resource as they work through the program.

You’ll work with an assigned instructional team to develop and deliver course material, troubleshoot student issues, build community within our student body, and overall create productive, inspired, employable practitioners of a technical craft.

Training Design, Delivery, and Oversight

  • Manage our UX/UI Design program offerings, including immersive courses, workshops, and other similar activities that advance the mission of the organization.

  • Teach immersive courses in UX/UI Design with the support of trainers and trainer assistants.

  • Oversee the selection of students for immersive courses, testing for technical aptitude and developing tools for predicting student performance.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of our programs, including learning outcomes, retention, course completion, and student satisfaction and happiness.

  • Lead the capstone project element of immersive courses, including creating project ideas, advising trainers, mentoring students and monitoring project outcomes.

  • Manage processes for experimentation and change management for the UX/UI Design team and programs.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a diverse team of instructors, providing guidance on program design, lesson planning, pedagogy, student support, and professional development.

  • Help develop and implement a training-of-trainers program for new and current trainers focused on pedagogy, cognitive psychology, class management, class facilitation, and measuring and evaluating impact.

  • Define and monitor quarterly goals for trainers to measure their efficacy and growth.

  • Manage, analyze and take action on data on trainer performance reviews and course reviews.

  • Serve as a support and safety net for the instructional team and elevate issues appropriately.

  • Identify any staffing issues or concerns and coordinate closely with the Education Director to resolve them.

Curriculum Design and Education Processes

  • Support the creation and/or improvement of existing or new curricula according to student feedback, job market trends, and Re:Coded’s growth strategy.

  • Manage and maintain highly-structured processes, systems, and recommendations with a data-driven approach, including managing KPIs and impact metrics.

Collaboration and Representation

  • Lead your instructional team with empathy and confidence, while providing a safe, supportive, and energetic working environment.

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, including partner organizations, and other team members across Re:Coded to ensure synergies and consistency in our programming approaches.

  • Understand the regions where programs are located, such as their ecosystems and culture, to help adjust and contextualize the curriculum as needed.

  • Work closely with trainers and trainer assistants to provide students with meaningful and prompt feedback on their progress.
