Vice President, Go-to-Market (GTM) Operations
The Vice President, GTM Operations will be responsible for partnering with the Go-To-Market, “GTM” leadership (sales, client success, and marketing) to drive the function and overall GTM effectiveness in support of rapid growth. Our company has scaled to be a market leader in the space with ambitious growth opportunities and the need for evolved thinking and leadership around GTM operations is critical. As such, The VP GTM Operations will bring rigor to process optimization particularly around forecasting, quota development, and overall GTM strategy. They will be an effective and strategic partner with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), bringing informed points of view and leadership that will be critical to driving future growth. They will be team-oriented, and a proven leader across both strategic and tactical dimensions.
Critical to this role, the VP GTM Operations will take an analytical approach driving rigor and improvement across all key teams, thus driving GTM performance. This will include the following:
Developing and building on current processes to create accurate forecasting & pipeline management and building strong relationships across GTM leadership and related business partners to influence decision making.
Effectively partnering with key constituents (sales, client success and marketing) to drive demand generation activities that support overall GTM growth targets.
The ability for this leader to impact and lead across a wide range of functions is key to success. Ideally, they will bring an understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
Decision Support – Design and build rigor into process, systems, and tools to deliver the analytics needed to drive overall growth. Become the “single source of truth” as it relates to GTM metrics for the company.
Performance Management – Design process, systems, and productivity metrics to ensure our teams are hitting their performance targets. Incorporate early detection and identification into the process to ensure timely/corrective actions are taken.
Forecast & Reporting – Manage forecasting process and effectiveness. Deliver insightful and action-oriented variance reporting.
Pipeline Management – Drive overall effectiveness of pipeline management in partnership with Marketing. Own pipeline process (e.g., methodology, metrics, review cadence, tools) and measure and report on effectiveness.
Annual Planning and Optimization – Partner with our CCO to drive the annual planning process to set next-year target and allocation of quota across teams, segments, markets, and territories. Partner with our CCO on setting overall GTM budgets and provide necessary analytics and reporting to support account plans.
Systems/Tools – Drive system effectiveness, partner with IT/Finance/HR and manage overall budget, relationships, renewals, add-ons for Salesforce and other related GTM tools.

The VP Go-To-Market Operations will have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to relate to employees at all levels in the organization. The ideal candidate will possess the stature, gravitas, intellect, business acumen, vision, and judgment to contribute broadly across the organization with the ability to work across multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
The VP will have a bias toward action, be data focused, be able to manage and grow what is currently in place, and have a proven record of improving operational excellence, all within a fast-moving, high growth environment. The successful candidate must possess unquestionable character and absolute integrity. The ideal candidate will leverage a blend of superior operational and leadership skills continuously applied to improve go-to-market operations at our company.
10+ years’ experience in GTM or GTM management focusing on business-to-business solution sales, with depth of experience in GTM operations or business planning
6+ years’ experience in Healthcare, Healthtech and/or the Health Benefit space preferred; also open to best in class GTM leaders out of other industries
Strong analytical skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity and highly complex data sets to drive insights and highly effective decision support
Strong communications and influencing skills; able to manage up or down in the organization
Strong aptitude and experience using Salesforce to measure and drive performance and reporting
Ability to scale GTM operations function in a fast-paced, growing environment
Bachelor's degree, MBA or equivalent experience preferred
